Priya Menon arrived in Montréal in October 2020 on a closed work permit, sponsored by a long-term care home in Trois-Rivières that had spent eighteen months looking for nurses.
Her credentials from Kerala were not directly recognised. The OIIQ equivalence took fourteen months, three exams and one bridging course. By month sixteen she was registered as an infirmière.
