About Vivid Treasure

An independent magazine for readers who still believe an unhurried story is a small luxury.

Vivid Treasure was founded in 2017 by a circle of editors, photographers and writers who had grown tired of news that disappears in an afternoon. We publish slowly — three or four pieces a week — and we publish for keeps.

Our editorial desks sit in New York, London and Lisbon, with contributing correspondents in Tokyo, Mexico City and Cape Town. We cover the parts of life that reward attention: travel that takes more than a weekend, culture that takes more than a thread, and the quiet craftsmanship of how the modern good life is actually built.

The magazine is funded entirely by its members. We accept no advertising and no sponsored content. The line between the people who read us and the people who pay us is a single line, and that is the only relationship we owe.
