What we collect
When you read the site we collect anonymous analytics (page, referrer, country, device class). When you become a member we collect the name, email, billing address and the country you selected — and nothing else.
Why we collect it
Analytics help us understand which stories are read and shared. Membership data is used to deliver the magazine, the printed editions and the membership emails — and for nothing else.
How long we keep it
Analytics: 14 months. Member records: for the duration of the membership and seven years afterwards, in line with US accounting obligations. After that, records are anonymised or deleted.
Your rights
You may at any time request access, correction, portability or deletion of your data by writing to [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use one strictly-necessary cookie to remember whether you are signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
